Off To Dreamland

October 26, 2011.

It doesn't happen very often, but we got to spend some time with Emmaly today. The boys are at school and mom asked us to watch her for a few hours, while she took care of business, so to speak.

The little critter is one bundle of energy; everything piques her interest, but doesn't hold it for very long and before you know it, she already moved on to something else. One thing she is really adamant about is to keep her doll, or 'baby' as she calls it, close.

She still needs a nap during the day, but she simply refused to lie down in bed and waste her time exploring the inside of her eyelids. After a little while I came to the conclusion this was a futile endeavor and since I wasn't going to fight her, I let her get up.

Her little motor kept on running for a bit longer, until she finally gave in, settled down on the couch and moved on to dreamland.

She laid there so peacefully, I simply had to take a picture. I just wonder what it would take to get her 'baby' to go to sleep too! Grin.
