They 'Faired' Well
Date of occurrence:
October 29, 2011.
It is that time of the year again when the fair is in town and since we have the boys staying with us practically every weekend and them being at the age where they can appreciate all the rides, we thought it would be a good idea if they would go to the fair and have a great time.
Their aunt and uncle were excited and more then willing to take them this Saturday, but we didn't mention anything to the boys yet, in case the plans fell through due to weather, work, or anything else unforeseen. It would only have created disappointment and so we waited until we were sure and told them at the last minute.
They could hardly wait the few minutes before aunt A. and uncle D. arrived and when they did, they were the first ones to get in the car.
We asked their aunt and uncle to take pictures of the event and they did; they took pictures galore.
Seeing those accompanied with the excited account the boys treated us on after they came back, telling all about the rides they took, the other things they saw and experienced; we enjoyed vicariously.
Yes, they had a great time or in other words: they faired well! Grin.

Hey Corry, great to know that the boys 'faired well'. I love rides too. Was in Adelaide during Christmas and spent time with our niece who's 19 months and she likes the rides too hehee.
Love your "grin' by the way.
It's so reassuring to meet you online again via your blogs, Lieve Zus. I'm sure you missed your grandchildren a lot. Please take very good care of yourself (((HUGS)))
Kitty,
it is so good to see you. How are you doing?
I enjoy watching the rides, but I just love the funnel cakes and the spun sugar!
I am glad you both had a great time. :-)
(((HUGS)))

Audrey,
Yeah, we miss them terribly and even though they have gone for only two weeks, it seems like an eternity. We are grateful for the phone and the computer. That way we at least get to hear and see them! :-)
(((HUGS)))

Skype is very good to keep in touch with the kids. At least both parties can see each other. It's very reassuring to the kids to meet the familiar faces too. You're coping very well, Lieve Zus. I'm so proud of you! Take care (((HUGS)))
Audrey,
We haven't tried that yet, but we probably will, since the other one doesn't work well.
It may seem like we are coping well, but it is really hard not being able to hug, hold, and having them around. It has only been two weeks, but it really seems like an eternity.
God knows all about it and nothing escapes Him! :-)
(((HUGS))), lieve zus!
God's Grace.
