Bad 'Hair' Day

Date of occurrence:
November 13, 2011.

Even though it may seem like it, it is not always fun and pleasure. Children do what you could, would, and should expect; they test the boundaries and see what they can get away with.

Both our grandsons are no exception and especially Leo will try our patience and find the limits. Unfortunately for him, we know that and keep a close eye on him after we clearly told him not to do something; he has the tendency to do it anyway after you turn around.

He sure found the boundaries this morning. After several warnings, he decided it wasn't worth his time and effort heeding them. Well, that was not the best of choices and he spent pretty much all morning, wasting his time and loud, protesting efforts, in time out.

He finally came to the conclusion that it was, literally and figuratively speaking, not getting him anywhere and got weary of it. He wasn't the only one, and we were glad and relieved he turned his disposition around.

I don't know who got in whose hair today, but it sure wasn't one of the best hair-days for either one of us!

I read somewhere that we experience both 'heaven' and 'hell' in our interaction with the young ones :)

Audrey,
Yup, that's true and I suspect it is the other way around as well. Grin.

God's Grace.
