Changing Ways

Date of occurrence:
July 2, 2012.

Emmaly is developing quite some personality; she is smart, determined and, just like her oldest brother, likes to make people laugh at times.

She has her little ways of trying to get what she wants as well and apparently she found out that when she asks something in a whiny tone of voice, it works with most people. Yeah, most, but not all as she quickly found out.

She has a big bucket full of plastic food which came with her play-kitchen, but it is a little difficult to open. She tried several times and was unsuccessful, so she takes it to Opa, climbs in his lap, hands him the bucket and with a pityful, whining voice asks: "Opa, I want you open this".

Her mom steps in and tells her not to ask something with such a whimpering voice. Emmaly made a quick note of that and in a split second changes her attitude. She looks Opa straight in the eye and loudly, clearly, and very sternly tells him: " I said; open it"!

I wonder how long that will work?! Grin.
