Gulf State Park Camp Out

Date of occurrence:
March 18, 2017.

And the scouts have another camp out. This one takes place in Gulf State Park and the Webelos den, to which Kc belongs now, have to take care of the meals and campfire program. The first thing on the agenda however is a canoe trip.

Kc, Aunt A., and another scout buddy were paddling along, when the wind blew them into the brushes.

Kc and his buddy called it a death cave and said it was scary and they thought they were going to end up in the river. They paddled and paddled and finally got back out on the water. It was fun though and Kc wanted to do it again.

They went on a nature hike and got to visit an animal refuge center where they were presented with snakes, baby alligators, and other animals they could touch and admire.

The meals and campfire program were a success. Skits, jokes, songs, and s'mores were on the agenda and the scouts had a ball.

We are so glad he enjoys all these camp outs. Let me correct that; he loves them.

And can't get enough of them!
