An Unexpected, Pleasant Call
Date of occurrence:
March 10, 2018.
We are pleasantly surprised to get a call from Leo and Emmaly. Emmaly is conversing with Kc for a bit and then wants to talk to me.
She is doing fine and says school is going well. She is worried though. She left several of her Christmas presents at her Mom's house and she is afraid her sisters will get into it and loose or break them.
Emmaly: "Can you make sure Bella and Lily don't play with my shopkins and dolls? I don't want anything to happen to them."
Me: "How come you left them there? I thought you were going to take them home with you."
Emmaly: "I was, but I forgot."
Me: "Well, I will make sure to let mama know and tell her to put them in a safe place."
Emmaly: "Yes, please. I really, really don't want anything to happen to them or for them to get lost."
Me: "I will pass it on."
Emmaly: "Thank you, Oma."
She is satisfied and wants to talk to Opa for a while. She eventually passes the phone on to Leo. He catches up with his brother, but has to end the call before we get a chance to talk to him.
He sounded good and was in high spirits. He did pass on to Kc that they were not coming over for Easter this year. That's too bad, because we had hoped they would and we could see them again. Oh well. Better next time.
But... we are glad and thankful for their call! :-)
