Figments Of The Imagination
Date of occurrence:
November 2, 2011.
Little Leo has got quite an imagination. Besides coming up with dinosaurs being at the store, when he pretends to go there, he also claims he can't drive his car in the yard due to the fact that there is a wolf in it, waiting to come and get him.
Don't ask me where he got all that; I have no clue, but telling him that it is just a figment of his imagination doesn't work. According to him they are there, no matter what.
We came up with a better solution though which not only does seem to work, but apparently is fun for him to do: we told him they would go away if he walks up to them and loudly says 'Boogaboogabooga'.
Today however, those imaginary monsters were not playing along and Leo decided he was better off in his house. He positioned himself in front of the air-conditioning unit and quietly sat there facing it. Upon my question what he was doing, he replied he was watching TV.
It must have been a boring show, because after a little while he stated he was going to take a nap and lied down in the grass. When I saw him rubbing those little eyes I knew it was getting close to lunch and nap-time and we went inside, leaving the dinosaurs and wolves behind to fend for themselves.
No, we are not going to feed those critters; we don't want them hanging around! Grin.
