The Petting Zoo

Date of occurrence:
October 29, 2011.

One of the attractions our Fair has to offer and that always appeals to the kids is the petting zoo. They usually have goats, a cow, a donkey, or a pony, but they always try to have an exotic, or out of the ordinary animal as well.

Unfortunately, they didn't have one this year, but that didn't take away any of the fun the boys had feeding and petting the ones which were present.

Even though Leo is a little dare-devil, he needs some time to take it all in and observe all those animals, before he is comfortable with them.

Once he is there is nothing much that will stop him from fully enjoying and taking advantage of the opportunity to feed, pet, and sometimes even undertakes actions to try their patience and find their boundaries. Ask our dog Mia, she knows that from experience.

Kc is rather reserved as well in the beginning, but more thoughtful and considerate towards the animals.

After a little while, he musters up enough courage to feed and pet them and gets a kick out of the animals' spontaneous actions and reactions.

Yes, both boys loved the petting zoo; each in their own way. And so did the animals! Grin.
