Saving for Disney
Guest post written by Jeramy Sparks
My husband and I decided we want to take the kids to Disney World this year. It is an expensive trip and we are going to have to start saving right away. Even though my husband and I are excited, we are not going to tell the kids until we know we have enough money. I started trying to make some changes to save us more money. I started using some coupons at the store. I am not an “extreme” couponer at all, but every penny counts. I also called one of the Texas Electricity Providers to get a better rate on our electric bill. To create even more savings every month, I reduced our cable channels. My husband was not very happy about that one, but when I assured him it was for the Disney trip, he understood. If my math is correct, we should have enough saved in four months and then be able to tell the kids. I know they are going to be super excited about seeing Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh.
