Practicing Patience

Date of occurrence:
December 8, 2011.

The grandkids are eager to see their daddy, who is coming to pick them up today and with whom they will spend the next two and a half weeks. They will be back before Christmas and that gives us some time to prepare, wrap, and put the presents under the tree.

As soon as they heard their father was on the way, they positioned themselves in front of the window, not wanting to miss his arrival.

Since they hadn't seen him for a long time, you can imagine how difficult it is to muster up any patience and the question when he would be here was asked more often then not.

Even though it didn't take that long, to them it must have seemed like an eternity, but finally both the moment and dad arrived. They were excited and we sure hope they will have a great time.

It is probably needless to say that we are going to miss the little critters tremendously. Now it is time for us to practice patience until they return! :-)
