Hoping For The Best

Date of occurrence:
December 8, 2011.

In spite of our hopes that all this would be resolved and turned around, it didn't happen and our youngest daughter and her husband are getting a divorce.

We don't know yet how all this is going to affect our grandchildren and/or what is going to happen, we can only hope for the best, whatever that may be.

Since the court hearing is early this morning, we get to watch little Miss Emmaly and should it not be over by the time the boys get out of school, we will go and pick them up too.

Although the suspense is killing us, Emmaly is keeping us busy and we are having a great time, enjoying each others' company, until we finally get a call from mom.

The judge hadn't made a decision yet concerning custody and will do so in the next several days, but mom won't be able to make it in time to pick up the boys. No problem, we will gladly do so.

Since the kids are going to stay with their dad for the next several weeks until Christmas, and therefore won't be able to return to school before that, they get to say goodbye to all their classmates.

Kc ensures to give his best friend Megan, several other classmates, and his teacher a big hug. Leo is just eager to go and doesn't waste any time on all these formalities. Maybe he should have, but I guess he too is hoping for the best???
