On The Road
Date of occurrence:
December 27, 2011.
Well, our little critters are on their way to Kansas as our oldest grandson Kc told us. He used his own cell phone to give us a call and let us know all about the long journey. In his own words: "It takes a long, long time."
At least they had some toys to keep them occupied during the trip. Kc mentioned they had been making good use of the iPads and we were glad they had enough charged batteries to last them for the majority of the time they had to be on the road.
We were glad to hear from them and hope their journey will be safe. Needless to say we already miss our grandchildren, but knowing they can get in touch with us whenever they need or want to is very reassuring.
I am aware of the fact that to them it is an adventure and I don't think they fully comprehend the extent of it yet. We can only hope and pray they will enjoy and be safe and comfortable at and with their new home!
