Face 'Number Two'

Date of occurrence:
February 10, 2012.

It is so endearing listening to our daughter when she is telling about our little grandson Levi. The love, care and pride show through in each word and we can totally relate, sympathize, empathize and also recognize the actions and situations.

When she was a baby herself, there were regular times when she all of a sudden would squint her little face while it slowly but surely would take on the color of a tomato.

That wouldn't last very long and once her face turned back to its normal, cute little self, an unmistakable 'aroma' filled the air. It didn't take long to recognize the situation: when this occurred, she was filling up her diaper.

I wasn't in the least little bit surprised when she told how Levi's face would turn so ugly and red when he is doing a 'number two'.

I told her how she used to do the same, after which she cynically thanked me for filling her in where Levi's temporary 'ugliness' came from.

I laughed and told her she had nothing to worry about; she turned out mighty fine, so Levi had a chance to the same.

It is a just a matter of letting nature run its course! Grin.
