A Colorful Creation
Date of occurrence:
July 9, 2012.
Since all the kids were up so early, we got to figure out ways to keep them busy. They already watched some cartoons and played outside before the temperature would reach the point to where they can't stand the heat anymore.
You may think coming up with ideas would be a chore, but it is not. It is actually a pleasant task and one I am prepared for as well; we have plenty of crayons, paper, clay, and other items in stock and if we lack something, I will dip into my almost infinite well of creative imagination.
They all agreed they wanted to bring out the coloring books and crayons and try their hand at making us some pretty pictures. And that is where the artistic abilities of our little munchkin man took over.
Leo normally doesn't have the patience to sit still for a very long time, unless he is watching TV.
He did now though and not only displayed a large amount of patience, but also an incredible skill for art. His drawings of people were not the 'stickmen' you would expect to see from a 4 year old, but had actual legs, arms, hands, and very detailed faces.
His perception of color blew me away. Take a look at his 'Rudolph, the Rainbow Reindeer' and you will instantly know we have an artist in the making!
