Spreading Cheer And Joy

This post brought to you by Walmart. All opinions are 100% mine.

It is almost Thanksgiving and when we count all the blessings we are given each day, there is a lot to be thankful for. We have everything we need and then some; family, friends, food, shelter, clothing, and work.

There are many though who are in the unfortunate situation where they lack all of the above. The Waterfront Rescue Mission in our area tries to provide those needs by gathering up donations and we share by contributing.

I can not even begin to imagine being hungry, cold and lonely. It tugs at my heart and I wish there was more we could do besides a contribution which is minor compared to the many needs. This year I could, due to the 12 Days of Giving campaign from Walmart.

I nominated this nonprofit organization on Facebook and you can do the same for an organization in your vicinity between November 1 and November 18, 2012. The nomination process is real simple and easy; click the 'nominate now' button and fill out the form. You will need the name, address, contact info, and website address of the local nonprofit you want to nominate. You can even add a picture if you like.

Don't pass up this opportunity, because Walmart is giving away a total of $1.5 million in grants, providing basic need items to local communities across the country. It shouldn't be too difficult finding a nonprofit in your area and it would be highly appreciated hearing which one you nominated and why. Please, share by leaving a comment on this post.

. Don't postpone, but do it now. Spreading a little cheer and joy has never been this quick, simple and easy!
