The Letter

Date of occurrence:
July 28, 2012.

Just another few days are left before our grandchildren's visit is over and they will return home to Kansas. It will take about another 6 months before we will see them again.

Since they don't have much concept of time yet, I thought it would be best to talk to them about their upcoming departure, instead of springing it on them. It would certainly help our oldest grandson to be prepared, because he never wants to leave.

While I was putting him to bed, I told him he would have to go home soon, but we would call and talk to him a lot. I prodded him to do well at school and learn how to read and write, so he could write us a letter.

His eyes lit up as he assured me he would write us a letter as soon as he got home. It would be the letter 'R'! Grin.

(((HUGS))) Lieve Zus! The separation is not simple for everyone. But God is there to comfort and guide.

The letter from your oldest grandson will be very encouraging :)

Audrey,
If he would send it, but so far he hasn't yet. However, being able to see and talk to them is extremely encouraging and comforting.

We ought to send him a letter, because he can read now. Can you believe it??? Time is passing by way too fast. :-)

(((HUGS)))
God's Grace.
