Big Brother Is Watching You
Date of occurrence:
July 11, 2014.
The children had left for a few days and that gave us the opportunity to rest up and recharge for the next round. I know that sounds like a boxing match and in some way it bears close resemblance to it.
Taking care of those three little rascals is often quite exhausting, physically as well as mentally and emotionally. Little Miss Emmaly in particular is four hands full. She doesn't have to be if she would just put her 'listening ears' on.
Most of the times however, it goes in one ear and out the other. She will tell you what you want to hear and goes on like you never said anything.
Yeah, that gets her in trouble many times and one would think she had learned something by now. Nope, not our hard-headed, little carrot top.
Her oldest brother has her pegged though. Last night, after they had returned and I was getting them ready for bed, I told Emmaly to do something. She gave her usual answer: "I will", and wandered off.
Kc looked at me and asked: "Did she smile when she said that?"
Me: "No, she didn't. Why?"
Kc: "When she smiles, she will not do it."
Me: "Really? So, when she is told NOT to do something and she smiles when saying she won't...."
Kc: "She will do it!"
Me: "Hah. Well thank you for pointing that out. I will keep that in mind."
How observant. Be careful, little sister; big brother is watching you!
