The Fieldtrip

Date of occurrence:
May 8, 2015.

Kc's class is going on a fieldtrip to the battleship which is docked in the harbor nearby. He has been looking forward to it for a while now and counted the days.

Opa enlightened him about the history of the ship and told him what to expect when taking the tour. That made it even more interesting where our little man was concerned and he could hardly contain his excitement.

We gave him some money and told him to get a souvenir which would remind him of this memorable event years down the road. He said he would and he also promised to tell us all about the trip.

He came home with a very nice souvenir: a magnet portraying the ship.

It now adorns our fridge and will eventually find its way to a spot in his home when he has one of his own.

He also couldn't resist getting himself some toy battle gear.

We weren't surprised, because we already figured that would be the case. Grin.

He did tell us all about the trip and only had to use three words. Upon asking how it was, the little guy's eyes lit up like light bulbs and he said: "It was AWESOME!"

Yes, that told the tale! :-)
