Having A Blast

July 4, 2015.

It's Independence Day and everyone is coming over to celebrate this happy occasion. Everyone except little Bell who is spending the weekend at her other grandma's house.

Kc, Leo and Emmaly had a nice, little vacation last week; Mom and step dad took them to Biloxi where they stayed for a few days and aunt A. took the kids to a water park after their return.

We didn't get to see much of them, but we will be able to make up for that this weekend as the kids graced us with their presence.

We decided on an easy meal which we knew would please everyone's taste buds: pizza and watermelon. After everyone had their fill it was bottle-rocket time.

We didn't wait until darkness fell across the land, although you might think so when looking at that dark sky.

Those are the signs of a looming thunderstorm which reached us right after the last bottle rocket took its flight.

The fact that it wasn't dark yet didn't diminish the kids' fun by any means. The fact that Mom was in charge of shooting the fireworks didn't either.

They had a blast!
