Inside Adventure

June 29, 2016.

We have the boys over and since the weather has presented us with thunderstorms, we thought it would be a good idea to let them have an adventure by camping inside.

Opa gives Leo a bar of soap and teaches him how to carve, while Kc gets to practice loading, unloading, and walking around with his back pack.

After moving the dining room table, a suitable camp site is quickly found.

Kc gets to pitch his tent and will experience his first night in it. Leo will be spending the night in the 'dinosaur' pop up tent they used to play with.

After having set up their tents, Kc cooks mac and cheese (under my supervision of course) and we all watch a movie.

And then it is time for pop corn and ghost stories.

We have a special lamp that, when turned on, looks like a camp fire.

Kc has great fun listening to and telling stories, but Leo covers his ears and wants to hear no more.

He is getting scared.

Bedtime has arrived. Kc dives into his sleeping bag, zips up his tent and we hear no peep out of him until the next morning.

Leo however crawls out of his tent after about half an hour. He says the floor is too hard and spends the night on the couch.

That is fine too. It still is an adventure! Grin.
