A Loud Protest
Date of occurrence:
November 23, 2011.
It took our grandkids' mom longer doing what she had to do then she had anticipated and she called as soon as she had a chance, asking us if we could pick up the boys from school. Sure, no problem. We are happy to and with little Emmaly in the car and armed with two more car seats, we headed over to their school.
It is such a relief and comfort having to go through and experiencing the safety measures of the school's policy. They will not let the children go with anyone who claims to be family, if you are not on the list of people provided by their parent(s).
The boys were excited and a little confused at the same time. Excited, because they were going with us to our house where they will be staying until after Thanksgiving, and a little confused due to the fact they didn't expect to see us at school. A little explanation works wonders though. :-)
The first thing on their agenda was playing outside and since the weather was cooperating, they had a blast.
Emmaly was in her elements; she got pushed all through the yard by her siblings who were taking turns and she couldn't get enough of it. Her brothers did though.
Did I mention that she is also very accomplished in loud protest? Grin.
