Onto Something
Date of occurrence:
December 25, 2012.
We had been contemplating on what to get the grandchildren for Christmas and their upcoming Birthdays. Leo, Levi, Kc, and our soon to be born new granddaughter would all be celebrating this happy occasion next month and the beginning of February and we wanted to come up with something they all could enjoy for a long time to come.
That was not an easy task, but eventually we decided on a play fort. It had all we were looking for where the adventurous and playful nature of our grandkids is concerned and doesn't require any maintenance since it is made out of a sturdy, plastic material.
And sturdy it is. I ought to know because I put it to the test and it had no problems whatsoever holding me and even easily held our youngest daughter who carries around a few pounds more then I do.
We didn't want to give away the farm, but we let our grandkids know Santa had brought something for them here as well. Of course they wanted to know what it was, but we said we couldn't tell them, because that would spoil the surprise.
I don't know how he knew, but the first thing Leo asked was if the present was outside. My guess is that after a quick scan of the living room, he didn't see any gifts and he concluded that if it wasn't inside than it had to be outside.
We managed, but it sure was hard not to let this smarty-pants know he was onto something!
