The Elephant

Date of occurrence:
March 1, 2014.

It is Carnival, or Carnaval as it is called in the Netherlands, and that festivity can easily be compared to Mardi Gras. It is pretty much the same. Parades and dressing up in costumes are the order of the day.

Even though our little guy has no clue yet as to what it all means, he can't escape it.

I don't think he even would want to. Being disguised as a little elephant suits him to a tee, but catching lots of candy at the parade suits him even better.

Too bad he can't wear it every day since it seems like he sure is having fun being and acting like the majestic animal he is pretending to be. I also have a hunch he will neither remember the event nor the outfit when he is older.

I am glad I made him a scrapbook. It has a memory like an elephant!
