Field Trips Make Learning Fun

When I was young, field trips did not occur very often. When they did, it was exciting, great fun and highly educational.

We would visit places we normally would never get to see and experience. It expanded both our world and our thinking. We discovered that there was more outside of what we knew. It was almost like being rewarded for all the hard labor we put in to learning.



I applaud the contest Lunchables Lunch Combinations is running at present: anyone being 6 years old and up and a resident of the 50 United States and D.C. can nominate a class they think should deserve winning a field trip. Simply go to Field Trips For All and enter your nomination. They could end up being the winner of one of the 50 field trip prizes.

You may know many who might deserve or would like to win a field trip. Pass the word about this contest and encourage teachers, principals and other parents to enter. The more, the merrier.
