So Good

Date of occurrence:
July 1, 2013.

According to our grandchildren, they don't get any or many snacks at home. I don't think that is so bad, since you really need to maintain a good stash in order to meet the kids' ferocious appetite.

But hey, we are the grandparents and with that come the benefits of spoiling our young ones to our heart's content. I make sure to do it in moderation, of course.

Leo loves banana pudding, Kc is a fan of Jell-O and chewing gum, and Emmaly will eat anything that comes close to being called a snack or even looks halfway appealing to her.

Since I know this I ensure to have plenty of goodies for all of them. The puddings and pies which I make from scratch are pretty much sugar-free. I use a substitute for those.

I can't always get away with that; the sugar peanuts I make require this ingredient and the cheese cake pie topped with blueberry pie filling come out of a tub and can.

Either way, I do try to keep it as healthy as I can, but I am not going to fret over it if it isn't. The most important thing to me is that the children enjoy their snacks and meals.

They do. It has been and is being told to me by our oldest grandson on several occasions. It warms my heart hearing him say: "Oma, this is soooooooo good"!

Audrey,
Thank you so much, lieve zus.

Two years old already. Yeah, time flies. Sigh. :-)

God's Grace.
