The Cajun Bye Bye School
Date of occurrence:
July 10, 2013.
The boys truly enjoy attending Vacation Bible School and can hardly wait until the time of day arrives when they can go again. They always return with colorful drawings, arty creations, lots to tell, and they are also making new friends for which we are grateful.
Today is no exception. Kc, our oldest grandson, is more then ready for his aunt to pick them up and take them to VBS and he demonstrates it by regularly asking when she will be here.
And that's when we discovered a misconception on both boys' part.
He hadn't fully caught the name of Vacation Bible School and kept asking if it was time for Bye-Bye School. We couldn't help it and laughed when we heard it. Making sure we heard that right, I asked him: "What do you call it"?
To which Kc answered: "Bye-Bye School".
I tried to correct him by pointing out that it was not called Bye-Bye School, when his younger brother interjected himself in the conversation.
Leo: "No, Kc. It is not Bye-Bye School. It is Cajun Bible School"!
That cracked us up and I like to think that even Our Father in heaven got a kick out of that one!
