Vivid Imagination

Date of occurrence:
August 7, 2013.

After about six weeks of having spent most of their summer vacation with us, our grandchildren have returned home again. We were grateful they made it back safe and sound.

It sure is quiet without those little rascals, although I have to admit I enjoyed the peace and silence the first couple of days.

Yes, it only lasts a few days and then the realization sets in that it may take quite a while before they demand our attention again. We hope it will be sooner than later, because we are already looking forward to their next visit.

When three of those youngsters constantly demand your attention from the moment they get up until they go to bed, it tends to make your head spin at times.

I had to tell them on several occasions that I could only do one thing at the time, had just two hands and those were busy, and couldn't split myself in half.

Leo thought the last was rather funny. His vivid imagination must have painted a picture in his head of what that would look like.

It prodded him to draw the following conclusion: "No, you can't split yourself in half, Oma. You couldn't walk on one leg"!
